Paris AI™ Organization Begins Early Strategic Planning for Paris AI Week™ in October 2027
Early plans envision a Paris-based platform bringing together research, AI governance, frontier technology, and responsible innovation through institutional programming and international collaboration.
PARIS, France — August 29, 2026 — Paris AI™ Organization today announced the beginning of early strategic planning for Paris AI Week™, a proposed October 2027 initiative intended to convene researchers, technology leaders, institutions, and emerging-technology communities around the future of artificial intelligence.
Paris AI Week™ is being explored as a multi-day platform for research exchange, institutional dialogue, and collaboration across artificial intelligence, AI governance, responsible AI, and frontier technologies.
The initiative remains in an early strategy and development phase. Paris AI™ Organization will use the coming months to evaluate potential programming, research partnerships, institutional participation, venues, and opportunities for international collaboration ahead of a proposed launch in October 2027.
Building a research-led AI week for Paris
Paris AI Week™ is being conceived around the idea that the next generation of artificial intelligence will require deeper collaboration between technical research, governance, industry, and institutions.
Rather than focusing exclusively on commercial technology showcases, the early strategy places research and long-term technological questions at the center of the initiative.
Proposed areas of programming include frontier artificial intelligence and advanced models; AI governance, assurance, and accountability; responsible AI and AI safety; autonomous and agentic systems; robotics and intelligent machines; quantum technologies and advanced computing; AI infrastructure and next-generation compute; emerging technology research; institutional and public-sector AI; and the societal and economic implications of increasingly capable intelligent systems.
The final program, participating organizations, venues, and event structure have not yet been determined.
A platform for the next era of intelligence
Artificial intelligence is developing beyond individual models and applications into increasingly interconnected systems involving advanced compute, autonomous agents, robotics, digital infrastructure, and institutional decision-making.
Paris AI™ Organization believes this transition will create a growing need for forums that connect technical progress with the governance and institutional questions surrounding advanced intelligence.
Paris AI Week™ is being developed with that broader environment in mind. The proposed initiative would create opportunities for researchers, technologists, policymakers, enterprises, universities, and international organizations to examine emerging capabilities while considering how advanced AI systems can be developed and deployed responsibly.
Research, governance and frontier technology
The early Paris AI Week™ strategy is being organized around several interconnected pillars.
Artificial Intelligence
Programming would examine advances in foundation models, multimodal intelligence, reasoning systems, autonomous agents, AI evaluation, and next-generation machine intelligence.
AI Governance
Research and discussion would address accountability, AI assurance, system oversight, agent governance, risk management, transparency, and institutional frameworks for increasingly autonomous systems.
Frontier and Emerging Technologies
Paris AI Week™ would explore technologies developing alongside artificial intelligence, including robotics, quantum technologies, advanced semiconductors, cybersecurity, intelligent infrastructure, and new computing architectures.
Responsible AI
The initiative would examine how safety, reliability, human oversight, and institutional responsibility can evolve alongside increasingly capable AI systems.
Paris and the future of artificial intelligence
Paris has become an increasingly important center for artificial intelligence, scientific research, technology policy, and international collaboration.
Its position within Europe also places the city at the intersection of technological development and major conversations surrounding AI governance and responsible innovation.
Paris AI™ Organization intends for Paris AI Week™ to contribute to that environment by creating a research-oriented international platform focused on technologies that may shape the coming decade.
The initiative is expected to evolve through collaboration with organizations across research, academia, technology, government, and the broader innovation ecosystem.
Early development toward October 2027
Planning will proceed in stages through 2026 and 2027.
Early priorities include defining the research agenda, evaluating potential venues and formats, developing institutional partnerships, identifying research and programming collaborators, and establishing the operating framework for the event.
Additional information regarding dates, programming, participation, and partnerships will be announced as plans develop.
October 2027 remains the proposed launch period and is subject to final planning and confirmation.
